| Painting with the words (letters) of the original Ten Commandments text of Exodus 20 inspires new understandings of reality.
The new Ten Commandment studies that I'm making in mixed media on paper are inspiring a lot of understandings. Last night I completed a small portrait study of an eagle, which I'll have up on the web site once we finish some of the new back end programming in a week or so.
My understanding of UnGraven Image art, of the spiritual theory behind using the Hebrew letters from original Bible tests for each brush or pencil stroke continues to grow.
The theology of all Christian and Jewish branches and denominations is that when the Creator speaks, those words create the world. That same theology indicates that the Lord spoke (or speaks, as time is not part of the spiritual universe) Hebrew and the letters that make up the words represent (or are) the essential building blocks of the universe.
In various articles on the UnGraven Image web site there are article that further explain the amazing coincidence of relationship between particle physics' 11 essential wave-like motions or membranes (11 in this universe and 11 in corresponding or alternate universes) and the 22 Hebrew letters. s important to this blog, is the idea of all those letters, the very words of the Lord, surrounding us and making up of physical universe and reality.
It isn't any more difficult than imagining that the world is made up of atoms, something most of us learned in school. The pre-particles combine to become atoms. Certainly, we cannot see those wave-like pre-particles with our eyes -- we don't have any instruments yet to see them with at all!
UnGraven Image art gives a physical reality, a view of the Hebrew letters from the Bible (not just any Hebrew letters, but those that are the Words of the Lord) symbolically representing the smallest most essential and basic pre particles as the essence of our physical reality.
Another thing that physicists posit is that the universe is ever expanding. We also know from many studies done of the human brain that thought produces energy. There was a famous study done on this over 30 years ago at Yale University . Thought are indeed things. Do we create thoughts from our physical energy, the way we transfer calories into energy during physical activity – or can we actually create energy itself through thought? Or through a specific kind of thought, like prayer?
HIn the Ten Commandments, in Exodus chapter 20, at the end of the Lord giving the commandment not to make a graven image it says,” …thou shalt not bow down unto them, nor serve them; for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me."
Visiting the iniquity of the fathers onto the third and fourth generation always struck me as a really horrible verse, and coming from my family background, didn't seem too hopeful.
Yet, here I am. Look where I have turned in my life and what I do. From my immediate family background, Las Vegas bookies would have given the best odds against my becoming who I am today based on that verse.
But the next verse is the key and important verse. It reads, “… and showing mercy unto the thousandth generation of them that love Me and keep My commandments. “ – Exodus 20:5. .
So my odds were really a thousand to one in my favor! I know I had a righteous grandma who loved the Lord, even though I didn't have the opportunity to spend much time with her. I have no idea how may relatives I've had who walked with the Lord and prayed for the future of their children and their children's children… and thus me. How about you?
I like that math of one person with the Lord can overcome a thousand people on their own. David against Goliath. We can do all things if we are with the Lord, or to put it as a Jew, with HaShem (The Name).
Imagine if we join together with the Lord, what we can do to change the way we all see the world!
May you be a blessing and be blessed,
Judy Rey
New this week:
It's been quite a week and without venturing far from home it's been a week of upheavals, change and preparation.
This web site now has two RSS feeds, one for the blog and one for articles and news. I am still subscribing it to blog feeds but a few of the buttons where it is linked are on the page. The page you are reading this week is linked also to the older blog pages, but the look of the blog pages will be changing slightly and there will be previous links to the older blogs.
We're also working on having an affiliate program shortly for selected non-profit fund raising. This will supplement the list of charities one is asked to choose from during the purchasing procedure from this web site, allowing smaller, local charities that meet approval requirements to participate for fund raising.
Watching the Home page of the UnGraven Image web site for new developments!
