The Explosive Secret Story in Iran

The information blackout being imposed by the government currently in control of Iran prevents an incredible news story from being reported. It is not actually about the protests or human rights violations. It can change the world as we know it.

Due to my activity on Twitter and Facebook as an artist, I have a strong following and am mentioned often in the Twitter sites such as grader.com and wefollow.com as one of the top Twitterers.

When I began to tweet and ReTweet on behalf of Iran’s peaceful protesters who wanted first a fair election count and now freedom and basic human rights, I began to make friends and new contacts with people in that movement because when I Tweet the message can go far due to my following.

I am also a professional arts journalist and writer. As such I understand about research, confirming sources, ethics and gathering news.

Sea of Green Rainbow by Judy Rey Wasserman, 2009

According to various of my sources agents of foreign governments and forces are now fighting in Iran under the probably illegitimate but standing government of Khamenini and Ahmedinejad.

I have seen various reports that place Hamas and Hezbollah troops in Iran . Several reports indicate that some of the forces wielding arms, beating and shooting at the protesters and raiding homes at night did not speak Farsi but only spoke Arabic.

A source of a source that I will refer to as Iran ’s Deep Throat (IDT) in homage to the intrepid reporting of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein Bernstein and became known to me a day ago. All of the info I have either check out from other sources or does not conflict with what we know.

Both this source and the person acting as a go between and translator have a histories with the Iranian military. IDT is in Iran at this time and I am taking utmost care for his safety. My Iranian sources outside of Iran all have family within Iran, which makes them seek anonymity also.

Today IDT claims to have reports that the Taliban are “increasing their terror efforts all around the country. It seems that most atrocities are centered in Jaam-e-Jam (TV Station) a massive fortified complex. Hundreds are held within complex. .Coup heads seem to operate from Jaam-e-Jam as their HQ.”

The information that Hamas, Hezbollah and Taliban are working for Khamenei and his government including Ahmedinejad is startling. The situation in Iran is no longer one of Iranians in conflict with Iranians but with foreign forces.

As the EU and the USA hesitate to step into Iran, despite repeated and documented breaches of human rights according to the UN, which Iran helped found, other foreign governments and parties show no such restraint.

However, the news is far worse that that. IDT has indicated for several days that Hamas and Hezbollah troops are moving out of the control of the Iranian government. It is unclear if they are acting on their own or under direction for leaders outside of Iran . Today, the Taliban is also acting independently as they terrorize.

According to IDT, “It seems that the Coup d’Etat forces are out of control. They don’t seem to care about Khamenei’s or Ahmedinejad’s latest remarks to halt terror. In a joint Chiefs meeting, Jafari told Generals that IRG is in charge of all aspects of National Security now. His remarks were very much understood as a warning to the Army not to interfere.”

Jafari’s remarks seemed to justify the takeover based on the constitutional role of the IRGC to protect the revolution [meaning the revolution that rid Iran of the Shah]. In effect, Iran is under Marshall Law.

However, that law is being carried out by forces that increasingly answer to no one in Iran , including Khamenei and Ahmedinejad. “IRG has taken over factual governing of all provinces now.”

According to Iran ’s Constitution bringing in outside military forces or mercenaries is illegal.

IDT indicates that if Khamenei and Ahmedinejad fail to get the protesters off the streets we will see a very bloody weekend.

While normally excellent press such as The Guardian focus today on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei , the Supreme leader’s son taking over control of the anti-protest militia, they miss the point that this is a move to regain control of the militia. Instead, the press sees the continuing rift between the senior clerics, conservative politicians and Revolutionary Guard generals.

Khamenei’s government is more in danger of being taken over by forces from outside Iran now operating within Iran than from Iranians opposed to it. Khamenei finds himself in the position of a hen who quarreled with other hens in the hen house and invited in the foxes to help with the dispute.

IDT tells us that an IRG commander told him “imported elements” posing as Basij & IRG had orders to crush & kill, create havoc & horror”. Special Forces IRG & Security Forces and real Basiji were not armed with weapons. “Rogue” forces form outside of the country “from East of Tehran” were brought in who were armed.

Other reports indicate that the police and army, and perhaps other Iranians, are and have been unwilling to fire on their own people. Watching You Tube videos it becomes apparent that between horrific and violent acts against the unarmed protesters some of the government forces act peacefully to disrupt and disperse protesters. Clearly not all of the forces are armed as seen on You Tube.

That governments outside Iran are trying to stir up problems inside of Iran began to be obvious to me on June 27 th a follower that I was beginning to grow suspicious of sent me the following direct message: “NEW & Private to trusted Iranians: Human Chain monday at 17 30 from tajrish sq.to rahansq. Iranians in Iran ONLY”

Previously this follower who seemed to be pro the protesters would ask me for information about my contacts that “she” has no need to know. Another seemingly benign follower sent the same message and also wanted me to give them contact information for Iranians that they were guessing I have. Of course, I do not give out such information, but when I would ask why this was needed a flutter o f ridiculous praise for me and comments generally followed.

I grew more suspicious. I was urged to Tweet this message in the stream, but I declined.

Research in the stream, on Facebook, even in the news indicated that this demonstration was not called by Mousavi or any source I could find. For sure whatever was going on was not coming from any source for freedom because it had the look and feel of a trap.

I contacted someone I know who is well connected to people in the Iranian freedom protesters about my suspicions and with the information that I had. The turnout for the protest was not the 5000 expected but only 1000. According to reports in the stream and the largest amount of police and Basiji yet had shown up for the event. The Basji were heavily armed, and now even wore camouflage vests, which protesting Tweeters in said looked really odd and out of place on the streets of Tehran.

Although there were more casualties and arrests from this protest, the result was less horrific than if 5000 people had walked into what I now firmly believe was a trap.

Neither Khamenei nor Ahmedinejad benefited from another protest or even setting a trap, plus the known Iranian government agents who tweet were not spreading this message. Certainly Mousavi and his followers had no need to walk into a trap.

Who benefits from both quelling the protesters and ushering in the fall of what is becoming Khamenei and Ahmedinejad bloody regime? Clearly violent radical supposedly Muslim forces from outside of Iran , such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Taliban stand to benefit. This further confirms the presence of the foreign armed forces in Iran

IDT says that the “ Army is not stationed in cities & can’t legally move in to cities unless Martial law is declared”.

Khamenei and Ahmedinejad desperately hope to regain control of their country from the rogue forces. What began as stolen election and civil protest is on the verge of turning into a coup or a kind of invasion by neighboring outside forces that were illegally and mistakenly invited in.

The looming question is: How far along is Iran’s Nuclear program? Can anyone, including Iran, afford to have Hamas, Hezbollah or the Taliban have nuclear bombs?

Here is the final quote I have from today, “Things are getting out of hand rapidly. At this point, we fear that even if Khamenei backs down and accepts the political compromise, the indoctrinated Basiji & IRGC warlords won’t.”

* * * * *

To sum this incredible news up:

1. Khamenei and Ahmedinejad brought in or welcomed outside forces of Hamas, Hezbollah and Taliban who are pretending to be Basiji and other forces– but not the military.

2. These Non-Iranian Arab forces are the ones who have basically caused most of the violence. Part of the reason for the blackout of information is to keep these forces from being revealed.

3. Khamenei and Ahmedinejad have lost much of their control of these outside rogue forces who are on the verge of staging a coup of their own to control Iran.

Your help is needed to get this news out.

Iran, Hamas & Hezbollah = shia
    Taliban = sunni
    Iran & Taliban are enemies!
    so your sources are incorrect.

  2. Any Mouse Says:

Are you are seriously expecting someone reading this to believe that a virulent group such the Taliban which is comprised of predominately Pashtuns in Pakistan and Afghanistan and who just happen to be Sunni Muslims would have a thing to do with helping the government of Iran, a Shia Muslim nation to crack down on their population? More likely scenario is the Taliban, if given half a chance, would just start slaughtering Iranians for simply being Shia and in their view, not even Muslim. They’d not discriminate in terms of political allegiance. A bigger crock I’ve not seen in a while….

    Hi,
Thanks for this great article. I am sad after reading it. The translation of the statement beneath this is enclosed. If you can please change it.

My silence is more powerful than your club:
    ???? ?? ??????? ?? ?? ???? ????
Just some pointers: Farsi is written from right to left and it is not legible when it is all “capitalized”.

I love translating from Farsi to English, so if you need something to be translated please contact me. Katayoun is not my real name but I live in Los Angeles.

    Hi Judy,
I am a member in a twitter team that has become known as a reliable source on Iran with more than 10,000 followers. I appreciate your help on #IranElection but I must say that you’re distance from what’s actually going on is considerable. Although I can’t completely dismiss your claim that the coup forces are running out of control, I do have many reservations about your conclusions. For example, the Hezbollah is very likely to work with the Iranian government, but Hamas is much less likely, and Taliban is not likely at all! Hamas and Taliban are not Shiite Muslims. The Iranians helped the US considerably in beating the Taliban in Afghanistan by providing intelligence.

As for the “trap” demonstrations. U r right, Mousavi didn’t call for it. But he doesn’t call for many of the demonstrations. He is not actually that free to do these things. People are using social networks to put out recommendations of what to do next and voting on each other’s recommendations. This is done mostly through balatarin.com which has a mechanism like digg.com only in Persian. Gaining membership in balatarin.com is much harder than digg. Also ppl put out recommendations on mailing lists & facebook and discuss them and good recommendations get forwarded more often. The rally routes are never a secret and nobody worries about them leaking. Because the militia will find out any way.

Mousavi himself actually likes this approach! He has said in a meeting with 70 professors (the audio was uploaded a few days later) that he believes in this “plurality of leadership”. He’s actually enjoying the amount of creativity and harmony that ppl are achieving using balatarin.com, facebook, email, twitter, etc. He does set some general guidelines that people follow but he’s not really able to speak as freely as he wants because he doesn’t want to create an excuse for his arrest.

People such as Mohsen Sazgara have been very effective in translating Mousavi’s guidelines and the creative recommendations in social networking sites into operational actions. Sazgara uses this YouTube channel to provide operational strategies for people on the ground:
    http://www.youtube.com/user/adminsazegara
he is very popular among balatarin.com users and the pro-democracy moevement in general.

  6. George Says:

A note on the video you referred to for the presence of Taliban: first, he uses the word “tollab” which means “clerics”, it is just a case of bad translation.

Second, the guy beside him is not Khamenei. It is Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi which many believe is the intellectual force behind Ahmadinejad and Khamenei because he promotes a school of thought in Islam that says the people shouldn’t really have a vote in how they are governed, and that the important thing is who God votes for (he believes “the supreme leader”). People believe that it is this school of thought which makes them think its OK to rig elections. Yazdi supporters quote a hadith saying “People are like 4-legged animals, they need to be shepherded”.

Third, this video is nevertheless very interesting because it shows Ahmadinejad talking about plans to carry out some great feat that would get Iran closer to “pure Islam”. That is why many think in this session he is talking about how he’s going to lead a coup to install Yazdi’s vision of Islam.

  7. judyrey Says:

First, thanks to everyone for their comments.

A week ago I would have agreed with you about the Taliban.

The reason the story remained a secret and is explosive is that until recently the comments made about how the Taliban would not be welcomed in Ira seemed true. However on You Tube you can find a video of Ahmedinejad speaking in Farsi with subtitles in both French and English, Khamenei is on his side and he is addressing a seated group of clerics who seem important to the government. The link to this video, the second part of the speech is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVPLU_6B15k&feature=related

About 4:44 minutes into the video Ahmedinejad says, “I thank the Talibans present here, those beloved friends who act only for Allah and lead this movement of immense truth. I know how much they invested themselves and put their very lives on the line here in Qom or elsewhere, I know that they borrowed money and dedicated their whole life to Allah’s service.”
Note that IDT puts the Taliban in Qom. My info comes after the YT video was made. You can see the video and that proof for yourself.

On one thing you are unfortunately correct. And it is in my article that the Taliban in Qom are terrorizing the people with their violence. The article indicates that they are becoming more and more out of the Iranian government’s control, too.

Next, Although Mousavi did not call for the protest, I could not find a reputable source that did. Mousavi has just called for the one today, by the way. Also the people who were tweeting about that protest were not the Iranian sources we rely on. It was being Tweeted and RTed by others, many of whom were new.

Since I am the source about the protest and what occurred in my DMs I can say that there was more activity that led me to become suspicious past the DMs that pushed me to promote the protest.

  8. daleandersen Says:

I think your report is partly bullshit.

I can see Shia Hizbollah volunteers helping their Iranian paymasters, yes.

Hamas, possibly, but it’s a bit of a stretch. Sunni and Shia do not mix well. If Hamas did in fact send volunteers, it would have to explain why it did so to some very angry Saudis, Jordanians and Egyptians.

This leads me to the Taliban. The Taliban are the Mullahs’ nightmare. If the Taliban ever gets its hands on those Paki nukes, trust me on this, the first place it would use them is on Iran. Shia are polytheists. As bad as Christians. Worse even, because they lead otherwise good Muslims astray.

Believe me, when the Taliban restores the Caliphate, there will be no Shia. Only Sunni.

Throughout the Mahem and in attempts to clarify the power of reaction and then retraction by so many who discovered power in the hands on keyboard/texts; I have attempted to ask those people who would not utilize integrity to slow down. Retrace steps. Backtrack sources. Understand the RESPONSIBILITY of journalistic ethics, training, rules and emotional non-bias. Instead of heedingg warnings that tweeters were traumatized by “snuff” films, outside factions with political agendas and finally – a desperate call to STOP and look at the big picture, I was threatened both with hate and by personal contact to my long-term professional media company and even was approached with intent of physical violence to my home and family. When media is in hands of albeit well-intentioned but untrained and therefore strongly biased public POV, we have what I deem a total failure on the part of a crowd-frenzied mentality.

The only greater good I now see from this lesson of frenzied reaction is a new understanding of journalism and media ethics. May the people put down their weapons — in this case, our
Twitter “reporting” — and learn the most difficult lesson of all: Power corrupts, weapons are often words, and bombs dropped from ineffectual random reporting kills as many or more than those that exploded in the streets.

May we find personal peace, stop pointing fingers at other government states, and own up to the over 100,000 innocent lives taken by the words and weapons of our OWN political rhetoric in a nearby country called Iraq.

Let Project Iranian Freedom drop the shock and awe in our own gut and find it’s way to our TRUE responibility: War on Iraq and Afghanistan.

  10. Dinescuss Says:

Khamenei, Yazdi & Ahmadinejad are stange enough to be suspected of using Talibans … but I doubt that such info would be made available to you. Most likely this is an intoxication.

I am rather suspicions on why nobody suspects Mousavi, founder of Hezbollah, of being the system’s trojan horse. Who’s mission clould be to crash the pragmatical trend who grew in Iran recently.

Mousavi said he is prepared to dye for freedom, but he doesn’t take the risk of being even arrested. What a hero of him!
