This is my special holiday greeting of 2011. Whatever you celebrate, I hope that the image of Artists Poinsettia will help inspire you to see new, hidden meaning and inspiration everywhere.
On Wednesday, May 18, 2011, Judy Rey Wasserman enjoyed a radio interview by the BizChicks, Bonnie Green and Jill Freeman for their month featuring Artists and Writers. Listen to it here!
A country’s wealth is not only in its gold, silver, oil, gas, diamonds and other natural resources, or in its manufacturing and goods, the real wealth of any society lies in the legacy of ideas it leaves to the next generations. These ideas come from its innovators, which include its best artists. It is hoped that China will swiftly recognize the great treasure they have in the art and life of Ai Weiwei and treat him and his studio with the great respect and honor he deserves, which will generate in turn honor and respect for the Chinese government.
Although the majority of my work continues to be in the preparatory stage of black and white for now, I must and do return to color, as a kind of break or vacation, because on some level as an artist I need color.
Blue chip art is proven to be one of the best investments I both boon times and times of recession, as shown by the Mei Moses Fine Art Index.Plus, in modern history recessions and depressions have also proven to be fabulous opportunities for art investors to discover new, emerging artists who become the blue chip artists from that time period. The secret is to know what exactly to look for and buy.
Post Conceptual Art uses symbols for every stroke. It is a direct historical descendant from Andy Warhol’s work, such as the his Last Supper paintings towards the end of his life, where he uses logos (symbols) including from Dove Soap and General Electric to reference religious concepts of the Holy Spirit and Light.
Considering the number of international art museums that exhibit special shows to entice their community members and tourists to travel through their doors, only a few are actual box office hits in any given year. What creates a big box office hit?
